Process your audio

Supported formats depend on your browser.

Browser-side processing exports PCM WAV. The size-reduction option converts to mono 22.05 kHz PCM, which can reduce WAV size but is not MP3 encoding. Large files may exceed browser memory.

HOW IT WORKS

Simple, transparent tools

01

Paste or upload

Check a link's format, extract audio from a video file you provide, or choose local audio files.

02

Process locally

Extraction and audio editing run in your browser. Your local files are not uploaded to this server.

03

Download real output

Download appears only after processing succeeds. Output type depends on the selected tool and browser support.

GUIDE

How to use the Instagram Audio Cutter

Trim an audio file you own in your browser and export the selected section as a WAV file. Nothing is uploaded to the server by this tool.

Steps

  1. Choose an audio file you own or are authorised to use (30 MB maximum).
  2. Set the start time and end time in seconds. Leave the end time blank to keep everything to the end of the file.
  3. Make sure Trim / ringtone (WAV) is selected, then select Process audio.
  4. Preview the result, then download the WAV file.

Supported inputs and outputs

  • Inputs: audio files your browser can decode (MP3, WAV, M4A, and similar).
  • Output: PCM WAV at the source file's sample rate and channel count.
  • Validation: end time must be after start time and within the file's duration; invalid ranges show a message instead of a broken file.
  • Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded by this tool.

Troubleshooting

  • “Use a valid time range” means the end time is before the start time or beyond the file's length. Check the duration shown in the message.
  • A file that will not decode is in a format your browser cannot handle. Try a WAV or MP3 version of the same audio.
  • The WAV output is often larger than an MP3 input because WAV is uncompressed. That is expected.

Frequently asked questions

Does the cutter export MP3?

No. The browser tool exports PCM WAV. For MP3 from an Instagram link, use the Reels or to-MP3 link workflow.

Can I trim audio from a video file here?

Not directly. Extract the audio first with the video panel on the home or to-MP3 page, then trim the result.

Is there a file-size limit?

Yes — 30 MB per file in this browser tool, plus your browser's available memory.
